The oil and bran processing industry is known in agribusiness as “Soy Crusher” due to the activity carried out.
 
The soybeans are crushed to extract the oil, and a drying process takes place to remove moisture and clean the grain. Then, the grain is broken and pressed into small sheets, which will be transformed into dough. This mass is washed with a petroleum-based solvent (hexane). The oil is separated using an evaporation technique, it goes through a gum removal system (degumming) to reach the crude degummed oil. The remainder of the dough is derived into the final bran after going through the process of desolventization, toasting and drying and toasting.
